After 3 moves and 2 house remodels in the past 2 years, I'm pleased to say that my roots are now firmly planted in Salmon River, Nova Scotia, and here they plan to stay! My sewing room is newly painted & floored, the daylight fixtures are hanging overhead, the Ott lights have their homes, and all 7 sewing machines (Betsy, Bertha, Blanche, Maude, Corrie, Rose & Fred) are comfortable and the totes of fabric are neatly stacked and waiting to be used.
For those who don't know me, I'm a 3rd generation quilter, and I'm currently deep into an obsession with the New York Beauty block. I do a lot of custom orders for quilt tops, and actually finish some, occasionally, for myself. This is one of the orders I'm working on now. These blocks will be a queen size top ready for shipping by next week. Really. I hope.
