Artfire and The Critter in the Stump

Great news . . . . . I'm in the process of stocking my new store on the Artfire site, http://www.patchmaker.artfire.com/ Check it out! I'll have quilt tops and blocks and dorset buttons and who-knows-what-else on there. I'll be keeping my Etsy shop as well, http://www.patchmaker.etsy.com/ too.

We have an as yet unseen critter living in the stump of a tree in our back yard. More and more burrowing holes are appearing in the stump; last night I took a picture of this little toadstool, and this morning it was gone! My guess is that the "critter" is a fisher. There is a colony of fishers living in our local park, which isn't too far away. The good news is that fishers feed on smaller animals - mice, snakes, rats, so we won't have those problems. The bad news is that they can attack small pets as well, so my cats will be staying safely inside!

And speaking of cats, last year I planted three tiny little lupin plants in my flower garden. This year, they're 5 feet tall! If BooBoo the cat could talk, I'm sure she'd complain about them blocking her view!
Happy quilting!
Maggie
